Ticket for Running a Red Light?

These tickets are bullshit, in the last week I have received 2 tickets at 360 & Post and Paddock. I was in the right turn lane turning right (obviously), I stopped but it was past the white line. The cross street is diagonal so you can't see the cars coming on the left unless you pull up a little bit. Moral of the story... shoot out the fucking cameras.

I wish it was a camera. At least then I could prove where I was at the moment it turned red.

Now you did it. You talked back to the cop therefore if you go to court they'll say you were being belligerent. You are screwed!

I really kept my cool, but when the 1st Trooper said that "he was" issuing me a citation for running a red light, I was a bit pissed that even the other one wouldn't acknowledge the truth of the matter. Just blows my mind.

One Patrol car, 2 Troopers. I asked the second one if he saw me run the red cause all I saw was yellow and he said, "it must have been red cause I looked up and saw green".

This is just wrong. I didnt hit the gas to try to beat the light or anything cause I had plenty of time to just cruise across the intersection. I guess I'm screwed.

I got a red light camera ticket in denton, it doesn't go to court it acts like a parking ticket, can't register your car until it's paid type shit. You CANNOT pay the fine In the municlple court. You HAVE to pay online. I made a stink about this to the clerk, "the city of Denton installed the cameras and sent me a letter in the mail but you can't take my money?" she looked at me funny and I left.

It's a private company that does it.

Total extortion.

So if I am in the intersection on yellow, I'm ok? That is as long as I have crossed the white line before the intersection? If thats the case, I should be in the clear. How the hell do you fight this? I was west bound 114 crossing 377 in Roanoke.

Pretty sure the citation should have information on how to enter a plea or where you have to go for a court appearance. State trooper or not...the law should be interpreted the same way with every department....but unless there was a camera or some other proof to support your claim...its your word vs a state trooper...and the courts usually side with the officer even if he's wrong. You have to cross the solid white line before the red light. If you enter in yellow, then you are good.

If the light turns red and you cross the line, nailed.

Our Traffic Control Technicians (TCT) review each red light camera after they are reviewed from the vendor. Wednesday they were working on violations from May 18th and they had 2571 videos to go. They are quite backlogged.

You would be amazed on how many people continue to blow these things.
