I am looking for a machine shop to do some simple tasks to my bellhousing. Does anybody work at a machine shop near Cedar Hill?

I need 1 hole drilled and tapped in a steel scattershield and then another clearance hole just drilled. All I have is a hand drill and I don't trust its or my accuracy.Originally posted by inline 6 View PostIs that place still around? Also what do you need done? I work in that area and have access to a large mill and lathe.
The adapter plate can serve as a guide. It will be really quick and easy with the right tools.

I figured they were gone. Last I heard the owner was in jail for tax evasion? They built my motor a few years back. I will see if they are open tomorrow.Originally posted by Baron View PostTried southwest engines of kck way on 67?

It would not surprise me if it was Kevin that still owned it as he was a character to say the least.Originally posted by mustangguy289 View PostI figured they were gone. Last I heard the owner was in jail for tax evasion? They built my motor a few years back. I will see if they are open tomorrow.

Sounds like all you really need is access to a drill press.Originally posted by mustangguy289 View PostI need 1 hole drilled and tapped in a steel scattershield and then another clearance hole just drilled. All I have is a hand drill and I don't trust its or my accuracy.

The car is not fast enough to get heavily scrutinized by any techs if those even exist anymore at the local tracks. Most of them only check to make sure you have a number on your car. I rarely go to the track anymore anyway. When I do it is for a test/tune event or maybe a bracket race.Originally posted by Chas_svo View PostA picky NHRA tech will fail you if the see any done to the scattershield. Drill two holes in the scattershield still makes it safe than a stock aluminum T5 BH.

I think I got the hook up at one very close to the house. I will know tonight if it's a go or not.Originally posted by Ruffdaddy View PostI know a machine shop that is very capable and very cheap. I use them quite a bit for prototype parts. Robby also has a drill press but it's nothin too fancy. Uses it mostly for motorcycle stuff.
