Exactly. In a business, it doesn't matter what you promise, when you run out of money, you're out of money. They either take what you can afford or move on. Oh, and our combat pay qualifications changed as soon as Obama got his hands on the DoD. That was changing our contracts.

I'm going to call BS as well. You shoot a wounded prisoner, you're a war criminal and will go to Levenworth for years. Running over cars for fun? You have to pay for those. What your 'friends' didn't tell you is after every firefight a soldier with a rucksack full of cash goes around to pay for every injury, every death (including the insurgents who were shooting at us to pay the blood debt) and damages to homes and vehicles. We have so many ROE's that it's unreal.

Hey, you brought up my pay, I'm bringing up yours. I have a constitutional mandate for mine and mine is constantly in flux, being held up for the first cuts by democrats and combat pay is altered while you're in theater. I didn't say they didn't deserve their pay. I said the cities can't afford it.
