That's what flipped me from trying to see his side to completely disliking him. Granted, it's not often a board reputation hurts ya. However, I have to assume people are behaving as they normally would.

Ya never know when posting on the job forum, asking for votes on some BS or another, or trying to buy/sell something that your reputation hurts the responses you get. I have to assume he's posting his true opinions.

You do know if you, every so often, came out and said, without qualifiers, that "Damn. That officer was in the wrong. I hope justice is done." No differing responsibility onto anyone else, no "but...' statements. Straight up admitting it was wrong, you may help foster a change of seeing officers as "us versus them"

Im not defending either side on this one, but I think mistakes were made on both parties. Unfortunatly it ended in this mans life, in which somebody should be held liable. Officers should have identified themselves, and the guy should have asked before opening the door. I too would have my pistol in hand if I was in the situation, but would hope I wouldnt just open the door without speaking first.
