No but it's okay for us to have those kinds of barriers on us when dealing with people who strap kids with explosives, set up IED's, use full auto rifles on us right? Why should the police have less restriction on them than us? Here, we have the Constitution. There? Nothing. You want to know why? If we do a bad shoot, the entire village comes down on us.

Here? If a cop kills someone who is innocent, they should be tried immediately, the family reimbursed for the funeral from the cop's salary and that asshole should be handed over to the family for his crimes against them. I bet they wouldn't squeeze the trigger as fast.

When there, I've watched helos tracking vehicles/people that just put 2-30 rockets/mortars into my base and they could not engage them. They had stop tracking them after they entered a mosque/home..etc

I was so pissed several times knowing that SOBs that put those things extremely close to me were just skipping along. You can thank the media and gutless population for all those things.

Their general ROE was stupid towards the beginning of the whole event and as time passed it got worst and worst. I recall first getting into Iraq (After Uzbek/afghanistan - as a civilian) and there were clear cut skirmishes. If there was incoming fire, there was return fire. Then after about a year or so, more and more I saw nagging incoming fire with no return fire. Mainly around the gates and such and that's just rifles...etc. No including allowing people to die from incoming rockets/mortars.

Of course, the media does not tell you all of that. Just that our military is a bunch of savages that only torture people ....etc.
