Brother, I have change my career 3 times now and am headed for my fourth. I was a videographer, then a cable/fiber splicer, then a shore tankerman, and now I am gonna train to become a nurse. No money in videography, splicing got boring and sucky, shore tanking was awesome money but kill me now God boring, and nursing seems like a way to use the things im good at (steady hands with a fast mind) and be able to give back to my community.

Skills are somewhat plentiful, but I don't want to find myself in manual labor. ... I'm trainable and quick to learn, so venturing outside of my current skill set doesn't concern me. I'm just looking for a job that offers a sense of accomplishment at the end of a day and more importantly something I can raise a family on and be happy doing.

I think there is something to be said for "manual labor." Working hard should not be frowned on. It is human instinct to expend effort, and we derive pleasure from it and the results of it. Having worked in IT for the past 12 years, I am really missing having a tangible result at the end of a day's work.
