I was born in a city hospital. There was a time in 85 my mother and I were on food stamps and received gov't cheese. I watched lots of Sesame Street/Mr Rogers/PBS as a kiddo. I went to public schools, I went to a state university, I've used 911 services to report crimes as well as call for help. I've used public roads all my life. I've sent and received lots of mail through the USPS. Off the top of my head I'm quite the socialist in today's teaparty view of socialism.

When I was a little shit I spray painted an Anarchy sign on the American flag and hung it in my room.....

We were little skaters and had no clue what Anarchy even meant, just plastered that shit everywhere....

I went through a similar phase when I started high school in Austin (in the mid-'70's). I had a sleeveless blue jean vest (a la Hell's Angel's) with swastika's and upside-down peace signs all over it. I had a jewish history teacher that would say something to me every day about the jacket, but I had no clue how offensive it was to him. I felt pretty shitty about it later in the year and made amends with him.

I don't live beyond my financial means.

I don't pretend to live in the best nation in the world.

I work for an insurance company.

I don't accept government hand outs and that includes VA benefits that they have deemed I should be receiving.

Been working on a book for a few years. I get interested and do a few chapters and then forget about it and go wander off for a bit. Even in the really dark stuff it's light hearted.

You should also read one of my research papers on doctor assisted suicide. I titled it "The lighter side of death." Pretty good read.
