I will have to agree that most Texas rap sucks. Paul Wall? Chamillionaire? Mike Jones? All that chopped and screwed shit? Seems a little clownish to me.

UGK is good shit, and I have a soft spot for Geto Boys, as Grip It On That Other Level was the first really dirty album I ever listened to when I was a wee little jluv.

If you're really into lyrics, you should dig on just about anything Wu-Tang has ever done, including the tons of solo and spin off albums that have come from them. Very creative beats, too. Liquid Swords is one of my favorites.

Wu-Tang was great but I dont put them on a list simply because they are a group. I agree with UGK being great also. The way they added both of their styles to a track still goes unmatched. But as solo artists, they are/were limited.
