True, but so far it has gone incredibly well. The birth mother did this for the RIGHT reasons. She has the mindset that this is OUR child. But, at the end of the day, I hold the cards. I can cut visitation if I want, but I'm not planning to.

Unfortunately that is what a lot of people believe, but its seldom the case. You have to do your research and talk to other open adoption parents to know what you are getting into. You set the boundaries. We are in an open adoption with our daughter. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Yea, I agree. IMO the worst case on open adoption is that the birth parents just disappear. Unfortunately that can be the case all too often..
