Other than the nutty drivers, that's my biggest pet peave about San Diego, there are beggers EVERYWHERE. I can't go to the grocery store without being asked for money, usually on the way in and again on the way out. From what I've heard there is a high rate of homelessness out here. I guess if you have to sleep outside, southern California isn't a bad place to be. They don't have to worry about the high cost of housing, or extreme weather.

Solid rebuttal. Have you considered looking into counter-points as a career? Breaking the law as well as the law of common decency in the name of charity doesn't matter. In years past I have donated 20% of my income to charity. The key here is that it wasn't solicited as a pass through fee. Get out of the road.Originally posted by 90MarkVII View PostOf course you do.
I wonder if the percentage of fires are higher on the days FD's decide to impede traffic?

DPD shoots first and makes up stories later. Apparently its easier for them to let the ambulance haul you away than take you to jail.Originally posted by Lone Sailor View PostI think they have a different kind of ride-a-long in Oak Cliff.

Same here. They'll stand at the corners on I-20 bridge on Winscott but seriously, they won't be there for 5 minutes before a squad car rolls by and tells them to beat it.Originally posted by BLAKE View PostJust curious, but how do you know?
<- Proud Benbrook resident. Never seen any pan handling there. Another reason I love it so much.
They do the same thing with door to door sales people. My street is the first one after Winscott so the peddlers start on it most of the time, they usually don't make it more than two houses before the police are there asking questions. Other than the steak guys none of them ever make it to my house, they are a lot faster than the magazine and Kirby people. I do get hounded by roofing guys in the spring but they are stealthy, they just pull up in trucks and start walking around.

If you'd like to come ride for a shift, I'd be honored if you could point me to a bank robbery, rape, or murder in progress.
If I had the keen ability to sense crimes in progress, I'd be Clark Kent..

That is part of the reason I have been using Little Rd to cut through Kennedale on my way to TXR. It takes forever to get through that light down there already without them causing additional delays and hazzards. The last time I went down that left hand exit at Bus 287, one of them stepped off the curb into the roadway when the light was still green.Originally posted by td4087 View PostPlease tell your buddies from Mansfield to get rid of the two dirt bags that have been working the left hand exit @ Mansfield hwy off of I20 under the bridges for the past two years. I once observed one at the 635 / NW HWY exit punching the crosswalk as soon as the light turned green in an attempt to short cycle the lights. Does that even have an effect on the duration of the traffic cycle?
