$100 for a carry on bag now

On a recent flight we made to (and from) Seattle, at least half the other passengers had two carry on bags with the majority of 'em being larger than my checked baggage.

It f*ckin' insane what these people try to get away with, and the clueless gate attendants are not helping police the situation at all.

Agreed. I fly a round trip flight roughly 35-40 times per year and every flight is the same fucking thing: Some cheap-ass won't pay the $25 to check their gigantic suitcase. When offered a free bag check at the gate, they still refuse. Then, we all get to sit and wait while this dipshit attempts to stuff 60lbs of luggage into the overhead. Make the checked bags free and the 2nd carry-on cost $25 and watch that situation resolve itself overnight.
