Fairly good call, but keep in mind that in late February the early tax season begins and cars start going sky high. To anyone buying from a used lot, keep this in mind when negotiating. Car dealers aren't making insane profits on their cars, the auctions aren't cheap these days. Typically a car lot is making $500 per car unless they are a tote the note lot. We are damned lucky to make $700 per car.Originally posted by TexasT View PostI look my own over and generally put fuel in for a notified extended test drive. Nothing like buying someone elses problems. If this won't work I'm on to the next one. I NEED a bargain. So I go at the end of the month when they have bills due. Nothing like a fist full of benjamins to negotiate with.
The end of Jan and Feb are best, it seems no one is buying then.
