If you want quality spend the extra $$$ and find a specialty shop. Most bakeries should have ready available cakes that you won't need to special order. In a pinch and you want to save some $$ I would recommend Brookshire's (my options are wal mart and brookshires, though I make them myself). Their quality is better, craftsmanship and ingredient wise.
