Our vet is ridiculously reasonable. He has an appt for Saturday morning. It'll be $35 for his vaccines and dewormer.

He's a bit of a drive for us (40ish minutes) but he has a lot of clientele in our area because he's good at what he does, his prices are reasonable, and he doesn't bullshit you with unneeded procedures and testing. He makes the majority of his money off volume, repeat business, and large livestock services, while managing to stay attentive to his clients. He picked up one or two other vets to help him out, but he still pokes his head in and checks on his longtime clients.Originally posted by Baron View PostJesus, I think that is what I pay for the "low cost" folks that are at our local Wallgreens once a month.
He even manages to stay low priced on his pet meds because his techs shop around for deals and find coupons to use when they order.

It's honestly not a good time for us to take on another dogOriginally posted by Snatch Napkin View PostThink about it and let us know. We'll get him up to our vet in the next day or two to give him a once over to make sure he's not about to die or anything.
. We'll be leaving on vacation the middle of next week. He looks like he'd be a good match for our little bastard though. I know you and Treasure Chest are good people and will probably decline but If I can send you some cash to help pay for the little guy until you find him a home shoot me a PM.

FYI, he is not skittish around kids. My 7 year old was bouncing around with him in the backyard and carrying him around like a baby. He's also very friendly with cats. He was suspect to our cat, so she swiped at him, hissed, and ran away, and he didn't chase after her. He's extremely playful, but when it's time to settle down, he happily snuggles on the couch next to me.

Anyway I know a girl that her 12 year old dog passed away. Ill pass along pics and info, you never know...Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

He certainly won't eat more than our bulldog, so he can stick around until you get back from vacation, if you're interested in adopting him.Originally posted by Shorty View PostIt's honestly not a good time for us to take on another dog

I appreciate the offer, but there's really no need. He'll likely be well under $100 in debt to us by the time he finds a home. We just like to make sure he's well taken care of and would rather a new owner spend money on toys, food, and whatnot to make him feel loved in his new environment.
