I am looking at trading a 20k car for another 20k car, my understanding is that I will just have to pay a $5 even trade tax, and the title transfer fee, so it should be ~$40, does anyone have any experience with this situation?

I prefer trading for this very reason as long as per the tax office book that values both vehicles are similar it's like 3?$ to title transfer. Screw paying hundreds of dollars over and over again just to switch names on a title.
