When I start looking again I'll be looking for new furniture that looks like old furniture. Sort of late 50s early 60s space age style.

Right. My parents were huge into this style and I have a shit ton of legit 60's furniture that was really expensive back in the day. I plan on building a room in my new house and make it look like something right out of mad men. With my McIntosh tube stereo as the centerpiece.

I like having a weird place to live, hence the tiki atrium in my old house. I think my apartment came together well, but I'm making due with an old couch still at the moment. Bonneville was more important than replacing a perfectly functioning piece of already owned furniture.

Perfect example of Men vs. Women. Sure upgrades are nice, but are not always necessary.

Thanks Blake. When I posted this thread I was in the middle of the divorce, and she was going to get the couch. The terms of our separation changed and I ended up with the old one, and almost all of the other furniture.

Hah, didn't even notice the dates. That's what I get for carving out 10 minutes to try and post like I used to.
