I tried explaining it to my younger brother thusly: Getting drunk on cheap booze and getting drunk on good booze differ in almost the same way that having sex with girls you have no chemistry with differs from having sex with girls you have excellent chemistry with. They're both perfectly acceptable, and when you need one, the other will not do, but to compare the lesser to the greater is merely to court disappointment. The lesser cannot begin to compare to the greater, as what seems on the surface to be two sides of the same coin is actually a comparison between entirely different, as well as unrelated currencies.
