Also, nice little thing I learned in my divorce that will serve you here. Even if she was awarded the house, if your name is still on it, YOU are STILL responsible to the creditor. I know it sounds crazy, but trust me, it is true. You need to do whatever you can to get it out of your name ASAP.

Yep! We learned this the hard way when we went to buy a car. He had been late paying on the house & it reflected on her credit. Boy that was a nasty call

Correct. You have to file that deed with the county. But there is nothing the bank will do till she gets it refinanced in her name & if she doesnt you still gotta make sure it gets paid or they will come for you

Your just not responsbile for the Taxes on the property or payment. But it will still go on your credit if she late pays
