I've been shaving my own head for a long damn time... and I feel I have it down pretty well... As long as I keep it shaved every 3 - 5 days, I use this:
But if I let it go too long, I have to knock it down with clippers, then I use the electric razor above. Works great, and I can do it while I'm driving to work.
-Remington trimmer to knock it down if longer than a couple days' worth of growth.
-HOT water in a washcloth, rub your head for 15-20 seconds.
-Hot water in the sink.
-On a damp head, use bar soap to create a mild slick of soap (don't lather).
-Use a HOT (from the water) 2-blade BIC, shave from front-to-back.
-I personally go 45* at the back of the neck, behind the ears and across the front since those areas seem to hide the most angle (and therefore missed spots).
-Wash off head with hot water and hot washcloth.
Been shaving my own head since '96. No gaurd and Wahl trimmers are the bomb! I got a remington years ago and it was a POS, pulled hairs like a bitch. Went back to Wahl and no issues.
Once my hair starts getting really thin, I'll be shaving mine. I wish my wife would trim mine. She tried it a long time ago but doesn't like doing it.... $14 bucks every two weeks tends to add up.
Let your wife practice on you. Thats how Adrian learned. I had some jacked up haircuts for first the 3 months. But now she has it down. She can cut all 3 of us in less the a hour & looks like we just walked out the barbershop. She has got good at fading & blending & even knows how to cut the tops with scissors so I have some length up top. This just happened this past year. For the first 3 years I had to get the top of my head cut by the clippers. But they get it to short up top. But I figure it saves us right at $60 a month & over $700 a year
fuck no. I can pay for a hair cut once a month. I spend more in beer.
I cut my hair as well. I got tired of barbers not knowing how to do a high and tight correctly. I use a standard WAHL trimmer, works great just keep it lubricated. For me it isn't so much the cost savings, but the time and hassle of sitting a barber shop to get an overprice shitty cut.
That was my biggest issue, my head isnt symetrical, so they would always end up cutting it lopsided and then having to cut it shorter and shorter to make it look ok. Ashley knows what she is doing.
LMAO @ this dude thinking Andy was Cruz !! And LMFAO @ this dude thinking Cruz was black !!!
This site never fails to deliver the laughs.
No shit, lmao!!!
I shaved my head a few nights ago.. i was running around working on the rig and taking care of some chores and it got hot.. i felt like pedro in napoleon dynamite, so i just cut it fucking all off. I had been growing it out for a few months too.
Been cutting my own for 10 years. #4 over the whole head and done. Get the wife to trim up the back. My advice get a corded one the rechargable cordless ones suck.

Yeah, my wife cant do that. I tried to let her edge up my kneck and had to go get a haircut on the way to a wedding.
I can cut my own hair, but its a pain in the ass and messy. I pay Ashley to do it, and its always done right.
