First flaw is that the new GT500 is NOT based on the new Coyote engine... So you can go ahead and consider the whole last half of your post moot. GM has to do something. The 5.0 DOHC motor was an LSwhatever killer since the first mustangs rolled off the lots a couple years ago (regarding the Camaro not Corvette). Since those are the two cars that have been entangled in the dick measuring for decades, it's fun to see GM finally having to say, "well shit now what do we do?"
