I'm going to give him one more call tonight, if he doesn't answer/call back I will, along with the usual internet vulgarities.Originally posted by Mike View PostYou should post some of his information
I will say he lives in Edgewood not far from Canton, and has a sn95 burgundy Mustang.

So why don't you just drive back out to his house ? I get that he lives 80 miles away or whatever, but it sounds like this could've been resolved already if you had just drove back out there and showed the guy the problem.
Is it possible that he's just an idiot and didn't know they were cracked ? You said they still had gasket material on them, and didn't see the cracks until you cleaned them up....maybe since the gasket material was still on them he didn't see the cracks either. If "he pulled them from a running truck that had been wrecked, guaranteeing them to not be cracked.", maybe he'll take care of it when you show up to his house.

I spell my number out for that very reason. I'm chuckling at the thought of passing over an ad for a person trying to prevent bullshit spam calls.Originally posted by Wicked98Snake View PostIs that a shady thing? I thought they spelled them out in ads so they wouldn't get spam to their #'s. Hmmmm
But, to each his own.

He refuses to answer the phone. He refuses to return calls. He was able to pick up the phone and return calls when I answered his ad, when I asked for directions, and when I called when I was about five miles away from his house at the time of purchase.Originally posted by CRASH View PostSo why don't you just drive back out to his house ? The machinist said it would have been obvious to the person who pulled them as the oil would have been a chocolate milkshake. The machinist says he believes someone sprayed them down to make them appear clean. I'll believe the machinist.
Sure, I can drive back there, can drive onto his property, have a confrontation on his property and see how that turns out. Is that what you would do? Personally, I rather not get shot or be forced to shoot someone on their own property.
ANYWAYS...

I believe he is the "Jake" that is listed there, but I could be wrong, he didn't give me his name when we arrived. I do know a 'Jake' from that house was selling a Dodge in an ad a while back:
