Only issue with that is if he did use the taser on the cop, and he was the only one there he could have easily overpowered the officer and taken his firearm from him also. I do agree he shouldn't have let him get the upper hand in the first place, but once it happened its life or death if you are incapacitated and they take your firearm from you.

Target will back down like a punch of pussys and they will release a statement tomorrow saying that they will no longer have armed security in their stores.

don't steal from target in grand prairie

ARLINGTON -- Grand Prairie police shot and killed a shoplifting suspect Thursday afternoon in a parking lot of Tarrant County College's Southeast campus.

The situation started at a Target department store about 4:00 p.m. on the other side of Highway 360 in Grand Prairie.

Police said the store summoned officers for two men caught shoplifting.

"One of the suspects was taken into custody," said Sgt. Christopher Cook, Arlington Police. "The other suspect which was involved in this got into an altercation with officers at the Target."

The second suspect escaped custody and fled on foot across Highway 360 into Arlington.

Grand Prairie officers followed and caught up with the suspect again at the TCC Southeast campus in the 2100 block of Southeast Parkway.

"During this physical altercation," Sgt. Cook explained, "the suspect gained control of one of the officer's Tasers."

A veteran Grand Prairie policeman shot and killed the suspect.
