This makes me think how it was back then when we read every music rag, liner note, and hung on every mtv interview. Then we grow up and don't even have time to look it up on the web.

Apparently he was told his dad died, dealt with the mourning of that, which kind of sent him on the path he was on, only to be told his old man was alive and that the family lied to him. He ended up reconnecting with his old man, they got stoned out of their minds together and he quickly realized his dad was in the picture only for drugs and cash, so he was ushered back out of his life, but was an integral part of the heroin addiction.

I can easily see that. No telling how hard it was for him to deal with keeping the show going while his lead singer and talented freind was busy being a heroin addict. I would be pissed too.
