Apparently he was told his dad died, dealt with the mourning of that, which kind of sent him on the path he was on, only to be told his old man was alive and that the family lied to him. He ended up reconnecting with his old man, they got stoned out of their minds together and he quickly realized his dad was in the picture only for drugs and cash, so he was ushered back out of his life, but was an integral part of the heroin addiction.

What a fucked up mess. Makes me think Jerry should write a book. Hell, maybe he has. I need to google that. There seem to be a lot of musicians and producers from our time putting out books lately. I need to start a list.Originally posted by Sean88gt View PostApparently he was told his dad died, dealt with the mourning of that, which kind of sent him on the path he was on, only to be told his old man was alive and that the family lied to him. I'd just like to hang out with the guy. I was in Seattle several years ago when they have what is essentially Layne Day, to pay honor to the guy. Didn't even realize it until I was back in Tejas.Originally posted by Tyrone Biggums View PostWhat a fucked up mess. Makes me think Jerry should write a book. Hell, maybe he has. If you have ever noticed Jerry doesn't like talking about layne. I met Jerry and everyone else back in the 90's at a private set for a radio station and he had a sense of resentment toward him and he took the back seat while layne got all the attention. Just how I saw it anyways.Originally posted by Tyrone Biggums View PostWhat a fucked up mess. Makes me think Jerry should write a book. Hell, maybe he has. I need to google that. I can easily see that. No telling how hard it was for him to deal with keeping the show going while his lead singer and talented freind was busy being a heroin addict. I would be pissed too.Originally posted by snacksnack View PostIf you have ever noticed Jerry doesn't like talking about layne.
