My mom had a 73 xr7 while dad had a 71 mach 1, I'm predispositioned toward them.

Agreed. He's asking way too much for a car that needs so much work and would still just be a 73 Cougar when its done. I think he's over valuing the the CJ heads and other bits he has on it.

For the right price and the addition of some decent wheels it would make a cool cruiser though.
