What changed in the head? I know the VCs are different due to the COP changeover but wasnt aware the head changed.

As for the Beehive spring, I dont care for first gen Marks so never really retained much info but I am 99% sure they had them in 95. I needed some VCs and there was a 95 base at the pick n pull and it had beehives on it.

Before they switched to Intech, the intake valve was slightly shrouded by the combustion chamber wall. Someone showed me pictures before and I can't find them. Late 95 engine were 50/50 on the beehive springs.

I like Foxbodys! But they handle like SHIT compared to SN95s. You never really know how bad they suck till you own one of each

Meh, I am a modular guy. They are just pretty plus the Teksid block is, IMHO, the best block Ford ever made. Its the strongest anyway. The 94-95 block will split the valley when pushed beyond 500hp. I have seen Teksids on the dyno at 1200 rwhp and the blocks take it with no problem.


The 96-98 Cobra has a better block but the 99/01 Cobra has better heads. Better port velocity. They changed again for 03/04 and flowed even better, closer to FR500 heads.
If memory serves I think the 04 Mach heads got the better valve guides the 04 Cobras recieved as well.

I've always heard this but I remember seeing an article in one of the mustang mags where 97 heads out flowed all the other 4 valve heads. Could have been a fluke but I distinctly remember my "wtf?!?!" When reading it
