Not an LS platform and personally I was disappointed with the final 818 kit. I was really looking foward to it but I dont like the car. There was a artist rendition that was in the running that I thought looked alot cooler.

Looks pretty cool, but I’m 100% set on a turbo lsx/t56 combo and I’m not a fan of the boxer engines.

The paint is something I’d like to be fairly nice. I can handle a non running car or even a shell, but painting a car to my standards would be pricey.

I would expect to have to have anything that I would find for what I would consider "reasonably priced" to be doing a complete drivetrain swap would be needing paint and would be surprised if the seats and interior werent crap too. I couldnt see spending a ton on a nice driver car and then swapping.

Of course, Im also looking for a weekend toy that would hopefully see some track time, and spending a grand on a decent repaint wouldnt hurt me as much as spending on a nice one up front.

Same here.. $1,100 and good paint on any car / roller is not likely to happen.

Not good, just ok. The clear on these cars tends to get pretty bad. That's all I want, no pealing clear and not serious body damage. Not running but complete is what I would want and it has to be a 95 or earlier obd1.
