Best Camera Store in DFW???

OK, so I took some of your advice and went to Ft Worth Camera. Overall I was not impressed. They have a decent sized inventory, but the staff sucked ass! The girl helping me was only interested in how much I spent, and not giving me what I wanted. One example was the SD card I was looking for, they were all behind the counter, so you had to have someone help you with them. Told her what I wanted, and she proceeded to hand me a $400 32gb card. Told her I didn't want to spend that much, and she said that's all they had. I asked her about another 32gb SD card I saw behind the counter, and she got it down for me, it was considerably cheaper at $75. But she only wanted to sell me the more expensive card. She acted like I was putting her out. Same thing happened when I asked about lens filters. She was only interested in selling me the $400+ filters and told me they had nothing else. Found a 3 pack containing 2 of the filters I wanted for $109.

Long story short, I purchased a new camera bag, and 3 lens filters in a kit. But I won't go back there unless I have to.

Well, I wish you had a better experience there, I've never had that happen to me. I've shopped there for work, and had great experiences. The owner even set up a class on how to use our camera better, free of charge. Always very helpful.

Looking for the best camera store to buy accessories and bags. Gonna head out later today to pick up a few things and want to go to whoever has the best selection.

Mainly looking for a new camera bag, new SD card and a couple of 72mm filters, but I'm sure I'll find more that I NEED! lol!. Where's the best local place to go?

I'll have to check that out. Decided to upgrade to the 60D from the T2i. Comes with an 18-135 so I wont have much need for my 18-55. Pretty much mint condition, didnt use it much. Looks like they are going for about 100 on CL.

did you not like the t2i? i just bought my wife the t2i for christmas, and that is a killer camera!

that's the same thing that i bought for my wife at fry's, and it was $50 as well. i can't believe that someone would try to get $300 for that! i think it was a kingston, but i don't remember for certain.

Nothing wrong at all with the T2i! Its a great camera, I just want to upgrade. The 60D is basiclly a T2i on steriods. I just feel its time for me to move on to the next level of camera.

One of the things you guys may or may not be aware of is different memory cards come with different write speeds. The bigger the storage capacity and the faster the write speed, well the more you're going to pay. Most people don't need a card listed like the one right here,

but when you're using a camera like say a 1D Mk III and you're image sizes are 18Mb files a piece and you're shooting a sporting event then you'll need those more expensive cards.

Most of the times the people in the stores will try to sell you what's most expensive because they don't know better.

It works great. There is actually a smaller second strap that helps keep it in place.

Depending on what you're doing the Lowepro bag is awesome and the wife uses all the time. I also bought her the 1510 (think it's technically the 1511 variation) for traveling and so forth. If a rolling case can suffice you all the time, it is a better investment IMO. However, I know most people would not care for it full time.
