  • Decent/Good Scotch?

    Recommendations under $100/bottle?

I had a doc/surgeon who went out of his way and above and beyond to help me today and he refused any payment. He's still making personal contacts on my behalf for a surgery and I'd like to send a "thank you." He likes scotch most, but a nice tequila would be good, too.

Just clicked out of the "snatch wrecker" thread into this one after misreading the title as "Decent/Good snatch?".... Carry on.

I like the Johnnie Walker scotches. Blue is my favorite, but a bit more than $100. If you want a safe bet JW is usually it.

Balvanie 12 doublewood is about 50/60 bucks.

Dalwhinnie is also a tasty bottle.

Balvanie has been recommended a lot so maybe I'll grab that.

                          The tags are lovely btw.

So if I were to deliver a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue to you as a thank you, you would pour it out? If you know a scotch snob that prefers a specific brand, then it might not be acceptable, but for the general scotch drinking public, it's a safe bet.
