BTW, just asked my boss if he would let me go because of it and I told myself no.

I make more on an inspection than on an oil change with zero liability. No risk of some asshat draining his oil and trying to get a engine replaced on my dime. I would be happy to do 20 a day and nothing else.

What year is it that they have to connect to the car through the computer? Yeah, that won't work. CEL? Uh, it is a Autometer cladded cluster not a fucking light one that I didn't put there (no ABS, Airbag, CEL, low coolant, low oil, seatbelt, nothing). Disregard the single 4" sewer pipe I use for exhaust too.

1996 and newer requires them to plug into the computer, older (up to 25yrs old) they put it on the rollers, older then that it is visual. At least that's the way it was explained to me.

You bet I take it seriously. 60% of my shops business is inspections, so when someone threatens my business I take it seriously. My job is to inspect the car and I do it correctly. So tell me do you do your job half ass? No? Then why do you expect someone else to do theirs half ass?
