The biggest two issues they seem to have is that they run out of parking for ticketed fans, and those that stay in the parking lot for several hours before, during the whole game, and even continue after, are causing problems. Bunch of people in a parking lot, drinking for hours on end in a byob environment can get out of control pretty fast.

I don't understand the point of tailgating then not attending the game. I would rather just throw a watching party at my house if I wasn't actually going in to the ballpark.

Story said that last year they had 10,000 non-ticketed tailgaters.. Turning all those people away, and checking tickets on the rest is bound to create a gigantic clusterfuck!

Well la-dee-da, aren't you fancy. Your experiences =/= my experiences. lol

Already got my answer anyways, from the news story I posted:

But all restrictions might not be enforced when there isn’t a need.
Rob Matwick, Rangers executive vice president of ballpark operations, said there are only a small number of games each season when tailgating interferes with other fans’ parking. In some cases, parking was in such short supply that fans had to park on the opposite side of Cowboys Stadium.
