    I did not know that.

Yep, Hackberry Creek (a pretty big development near MacArthur/161) homes have had foundation issues there and Kinwest Pkwy, runs north of the development is a heaving, bouncy horrible road. Most/all of the homes in Hackberry are pier and beam and they still have foundation issues.

I heard that area used to be a huge landfill many decades ago which contributes to how bad the ground is there.

This shit really pisses me off. The press have become prostitutes. The truth is irrelevant, it's all about sensationalism.

That 2.5 mile stretch between 183 and the beltline toll is State Highway not NTTA. Maybe they will finally fix that chit or let NTTA take it over. Maybe then it will go 3 lanes wide and get rid of the bottleneck there.

Ground around Irving, especially around beltline and 161 / GWB is notoriously unstable from what I have heard. Beltline from 161 to 114 is absolutely horrible..

I'm surprised they went to 75mph on the 161 right there, with as many dips as there are.

And that part of the road is only about 10 years old.

    There's a good one.
"Driver in bus wreck also drove in '98 fatal crash"

Oh no. He shouldn't have been driving. The news needs to chill the fuck out, what is important here is that they should be in our prayers - loosing a bus could destroy their business. The news doesn't seem concerned at ALL with the bus, I haven't seen a single report where they have given any concern to the extent of damages to the bus.
Yeah, that was the one they were talking about last night. But they were reporting it as having occurred in 2001.

The driver was in critical condition last night, meanwhile they are trying to throw as much dirt at him as possible before they even know what caused the accident. They even asked his family members about that earlier fatality. Fuckers have no respect. Those are the types of things that made me laugh at that reporter that got punched in the mouth recently. If that happened more often maybe they would take a minute to think before opening their stupid traps.

Anyone else see news coverage last night? They seemed to be hell bent on bashing the driver and the bus company. He'd been a driver for like 30 years but they made sure to mention an accident he had in 2001 where he struck and killed a good samaritan trying to help at an accident scene.

They also seemed very disappointed that the bus company didn't have any significant violations in the last two years, and mentioned that "they would keep digging".

Generally they cost more for roll overs. But 3k is on the decent side.

    That Choooo$$$$ Choooo$$$ money yet?
That company I used to use had a bunch of contracts for sections of freeways around the inland empire (southern CA around San Bernardino) as well, and all of those tows were cash pickup only. One day I was in the owners office and a driver came in to get some cash for something, the owner opened his safe and had stacks and stacks of bundled cash.. Crazy. I sold him a $60k truck one day and he wrote me a check on the spot like it was nothing. He had like 25 regular tow trucks / flatbeds / wreckers and 10 Heavy Duty Wreckers.
