I don't think the cops would respond very quickly

For those freaks, it's the one time I would not mind a slow response by the po-po.

Here they come. Will Texas show them a better time than Tulsa?

Sports news, analysis, rumors, statistics, predictions and roster moves around the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and more.

Westboro will protest any #WestTX funerals. Not out of hate or spite, but will warn you out of love: #FearObeyGod before ALL are destroyed!
The scum-of-the-earth hate mongers of the Westboro Baptist Church are looking to heap more misery on the grieving people of West, Texas, where yesterday a horrific explosion at a fertilizer plant claimed many lives and injured scores more.

The WBC announced via Twitter that it will protest the victims' funerals.

Shortly after finishing their protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey of McAlester, a half-dozen protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to their minivan, only to discover that its front and rear passenger-side tires had been slashed.

To make matters worse, as their minivan slowly hobbled away on two flat tires, with a McAlester police car following behind, the protesters were unable to find anyone in town who would repair their vehicle, according to police.

His fund is set up for first responders of North Texas that are killed in the line of duty...not to say he may do something for these folks in West, but it's always been just in the DFW area in the past

And does anyone have a link to some up-to-date info? None of the news stations are reporting anything right now

I know his family will be taken care of. Czechs are generally selfless people.(not all, but you know what I mean) I know the city of Ennis has been raising a lot of money for the victims as a lot of us are related to people in West. I believe the state also has funds for things like this for fallen fireman, police act. I will be making a donation as well, and I encourage everyone else to.

Based on interviews and reports I have seen, the volunteer firefighters on scene were aware of the danger of explosion and some were in the process of evacuating people nearby.

Of course that is all as reported through the worthless piles of shit that are commonly referred to as "the media", so take it for what it's worth.
They had a really good breakdown of the site prior to the blast and after on Channel 8 mid day today. There were two 12,000 gallon tanks of anhydrous ammonia that is not a explosive gas naturally. The tanks can only be filled to like 80% capacity to allow for some gas 'expansion'. They are keep cooled but if heated then the gas expands and has no where to go. It appears from the pics they showed the fire was in the main building next to the two tanks. You could see the trajectory from where the two tanks were outward like two giant cannons in the photos they showed. The rail road tracks directly in front of those tanks where bent outward in a 'U' shape but still flat to the ground.

It kind of made sense to me and I thought they did a good job of explaining it. Now what caused the original fire is the mystery.
