You can add a 2011 Mustang GT to your ins policy and the monthly premium for full coverage is only $47.80. It's not bare bones either - I have mid-level coverage limits, not the state minimums. I remember on my first mustang (95 Cobra)...ins was $136/mo. And based on ins threads here (and in Canada), many of you have had much higher rates than that.

I paid 450 a month when I first bought my 98 cobra in 99. Luckily after a few months I found a better insurance agent and got it down to a reasonable 300 LOL. Although like Talisman I got so many tickets in that car it was probably with good reason my ins. was so high.Originally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. I've had no shortage of tickets. I manage to stagger them just enough so that I can take deferred adj or defensive driving every time and keep them off the record. Well, not so much now that I dive an Accord, but it was that way when I had my stangs. Not to mention my evading arrest charge back in '01.

I think at one point I was paying $200/mo for LIABILITY back in my younger years... my driving record looked like a botched abortion
Now the record is squeaky clean and the credit score is good, etc. I'm not sure if we spend that on four vehicles now!

I used to have a revolving payment plan with the city of Dallas in the early to mid 90's. I would get tickets and just add them to my payment schedule, hell I think I made monthly payments to the city for like 3 or 4 years straight. Lots of street racing, excessive accel., speeding, and other tickets but I had lots of fun back then.Originally posted by mustang_marc View PostI've had no shortage of tickets. Who are you using? I am middle aged with no tickets or accidents and pay $150 a month for 2 cars.Originally posted by mustang_marc View PostYou can add a 2011 Mustang GT to your ins policy and the monthly premium for full coverage is only $47.80. Sorry for any confusion my first post caused. I'm considering a new 'stang and wanted to see what it would be insurance-wise and was playing around online (GEICO) and simulated adding a 2011 GT. I haven't actually gotten one ... yet.Originally posted by Kenny_Stang View PostDid i miss the post where you got a new Mustang? I know you said in a post the other day that the new 5.0 Mustang was testing your ability of staying payment free, but didn't know you had bought one.
Either way, congrats!
Funny...the 2011 GT is cheaper than my 2006 Accord. My policy now is $379 every 6 mos...with the Accord ($379) and GT ($287) on my acct, it's $666 every 6 months. Maybe that's a sign not to do this!
