Mine's out for delivery now. Will be there when I get home from work. Prior to my iPhones, I had a Samsung Blackjack 2 and loved it. It was great for what was out at the time (pre-iPhone). I think I dropped 1 call in a couple years I had that phone. I can't say the same thing about the iPhone. So while I'm looking forward to LTE and a bigger screen, I'm hoping I get a better "phone" as well.Originally posted by Texican View PostMy gs4 will be at the house tomorrow, too bad I won't be home for a while to use it. My only problem with HTC is the battery life was horrible when I had them. Motorola was a little better but I've had issues with it too. Friends that have had Samsung phones seem to like them, I'm finally making that move.

I will probably try and snag one myself. I still use a flip phone and was on the fence between the Iphones and Sammy's for a while. Now that I'm ready to pull the trigger, I'm was wondering if I should also get it insured. Do most people get the insurance with smart phones? I always hear about screens cracking or something random breaking.

I insure all my phones (I have 5 lines.....not baller, just wife and kids). It's come in handy plenty of times.Originally posted by CJ-95GT View PostI will probably try and snag one myself. I plan on it, but I wasnt' sure if it was worth it. Sometimes getting insured stuff fixed/replaced is like pulling teeth for some companies.Originally posted by diablo rojo View PostI insure all my phones (I have 5 lines.....not baller, just wife and kids). It's come in handy plenty of times.

I went through a few phones one year, either dropping or leaving them in my pocket when I jump in the pool. I got insurance on the s2 and a thick rubber case, and havent broken or dropped it in water yet.Originally posted by CJ-95GT View PostI plan on it, but I wasnt' sure if it was worth it. Yep, phoneclaim.com. Only allowed two claims a year, though. Asurion is what most carriers use for insurance.Originally posted by diablo rojo View PostI'm on T-Mo and have always just gone through Asurion online. Really easy and typically have the replacement in 1-2 days.
For 8 bucks a month I'd recommend it, you only pay a deductible of usually around 1/4 price of the phone, instead of paying full price. Or if you're doing monthly payments for your phone on t-mobile, that would be the balance of your installment plan left on your phone, plus another one, which can sometimes end up being over $1000.
