Virtually anything in SugarLand will be a decent area. Depends on your price range. I travel a lot for work and stay at Marriott-owned properties almost exclusively. They are always in a decent area of whatever city I'm in. However, they aren't the cheapest places around.

Never spent time in the area so that is what I wanted to know. What areas are good, which areas are not.

There are exceptions, but the general rule is:

Anything outside the beltway is good, inside the beltway is shit.

There's a Springhill Suites by Marriott right up the street on Old Spanish Trail that is decent.

lol. Frenchy's Chicken is a happening spot too.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Downtown by the Toyota Center. it was enjoyable. I've stayed at the Crown Plaza off River Oaks as well. and it was super nice. It has an parking garage and is in a nicer area.

Another vote for woodlands, less likely to get robbed.

Or in Alvin at Cooter's trailer.

There is a brand new springhill suites off of 59/reading rd. in rosenberg. Easy access to 59 and there is a Kroger in walking distance.
