I have a 2012 Silverado , it's had the heads milled and a ls9 cam installed. It averages 13.1 with a trailer, it's depressing the fuel mileage is so bad.

I've never liked a 6 cylinder and a truck. Trucks need V8 engines and dual exhaust, and decently loud exhaust at that!

i have a Chyrsler 3.6 pentastar v6 and getting 27-32 mpg, depending on my foot. it's also N/A and in a car.

I drive the same and I agree with on that. 14.6 is my AVG.. I do mostly city driving though, yet when I reset and went on a 500 mile trip I only averaged 15.5 or so.

I only have about 6k on mine and quit driving it daily as I got another vehicle that gets better gas mileage. Maybe it will get a bit better with some more break in but I am not holding my breath.

My truck runs fine and is fun to drive. I haven't had any issues other than what seems to be a glazed driver rear brake pad / rotor, which one dealer blew me off regarding it.

Maybe someone can do some tuning magic on them, or even better maybe there is already an updated program that can be uploaded via Ford. Anyone know of any?

sounds like in the city you are close to the 16mpg claim. What other stock turbo vehicles have you daily driven?

I don't believe they mentioned the 4 pot turbos. The Fusion has two ecoboost mills, the 2.0l and 1.6l, I have not heard nor read anything about those cars having this problem.

I have not driven any other turbo'd cars for more than a day or two.

That 500 Miles I got 15.5 MPG was not city driving, and 14.6 compared to 16 would add up to some descent $.

If this is true I wonder how long before FORD has to do damage control and buybacks/payouts to the thousands of people who bought into their MPG claims.

Those aren't FORD mileage claims, they come from the EPA.

I can get 22 mpg all day long on the higway at 65mph. At 60 mph it goes to about 24 mpg.

I've averaged between 22-24 mpg on several trips to Galveston on my fishing trips.

It's just hard to keep it at 65. At 80 mph it drops to 17-18 mpg.

Note: This is a 2011 F150 Supercrew with the 5.0L V8.
