      Ashley, you are absolutely correct.

If there is anyone I can count on being happy when I come home, it's my sweet Golden retriever/Irish setter mix. She is the most amazing dog I have ever had.

There is no better uniform in the service than the Marine dress blues, but this rekindled my love for the Class A Alphas. It just reeks of old school Marine.

Damn what the hell is this salty, liquid discharge from my eyes?

The connection between man and dog is truly extraordinary. The dog i had growing up was a Lab/Chow mix. Looked mostly Chow, but had the temperament and personality of a Lab. He was truly my best friend and a family member.

That is heart warming. There's nothing the VA or the DoD that will equal the care, patience and attention that dog can and nothing can repair wounds better than a companion

This is one of those stories I read again.

When I was in Desert Storm I was working out of Camp 5 in SA just south of Kuwait. There was a light lab that was a camp dog that we would play with on occasion, I wonder what ever happened to him.

It's stories like this that make me continue to believe in the good side of man. Working a job that is overwhelmingly negative, it's the hope in humanity that keeps me going.
