Wind and rain here in Gapevine, wind was strong when it first rolled in but now it's gotten quiet. Is this all we're gonna get from this today after all the talk?

Most likely. East of Dallas is the greater risk now and it's hard to tell just how much risk that is. The air was really unstable but the line of storms moved too fast for anything to form ahead of the cold front.


That was my argument on the Fox 4 post. If we pulled our kids out of school every time there was a tornado watch, they would have to go to school year around to make up the days missed here in tornado alley. Build storm shelters at the schools instead.

Wonderful. I'm at work up in Gainesville and our "shelter" is a section in the building with an exterior wall, rafters, and tons of airplane seat parts including stacks of 7 ft, 3" diameter metal tubes.
