I got a bag of that a few weeks ago, good stuff! Can't beat the price! I was reading some grilling forums, Dragons Breath, Wicked Good are also good brands, but can't find them around here. Cowboy brand (sold at HD) was rated as crap. A lot of "trash" or non coal in it, small pieces and sparked a lot.
Think that was the problem i had last time when i bought Natural lump coal.... pieces were tiny and they pretty much sucked. So i stuck with kingsford.... now i might have to splurge one time and try a higher quality coal then.
My chimney in my house? Seems unconventional, but I'll give it a shot..
Charcoal chimney and a starter...weber makes these little marshmallow-looking starters that you can get at Home Depot and probably anywhere else...I think there are 12 or so for $3.

Yeah, I've read some are really crappy and about %20 dust/tiny particles that won't burn. That Stubbs brand so far has been really good, especially for 34 lbs @$16 in Southlake.

Yes, it is tricky, but you have to be careful if you have carpet indoors!
I use those little fire starters, like little squares of cardboard with something soaked into them. Guy at the BBQ store said they were good for lump coal in a BGE, and he wasn't kidding! Similar to these on Amazon, and also some chimneys there if ya want one of those.

I use those with my chimney starter. Beats messing around with newspaper and lets me put some more charcoal under my chimney. It's like 3-4 bucks for 24 of them.
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.
