I always thought she had intelligent, level-headed things to contribute. I think she lost her cool at the end, but it happens to everyone. I didn't know her well, but based on my limited experiences with her I don't feel she deserves the bashing she gets here nowadays.

I think what got her bashed, was the way she openly pulled the pity party routine after the Vegas trip. She made several comments, in several threads, that were obvious digs at Leah, and everyone else that went on that Vegas trip. "Real friends" this, and "real friends" that. It was pretty obvious to me that she was trying to stir shit up with her. And this was before any part of that trip was aired out on the board. She wouldn't let up, Lea and Eric got tired of it, and the shit hit the fan. I do believe it took a few weeks of those comments before it got to that point. As for whether she deserved it or not, I wasn't on that trip. But the way she kept poking and prodding, it seemed to me that a public confrontation is what she wanted.

Kim did seem really intelligent at times. However, she always had a victim mentality, and made a plethora of terrible choices. She was really good at giving other people advice, but really bad at applying that to her own life.

I had a poor experience with her as my agent and when I called Geico to switch, my premiums dropped $50/month for the exact same coverage.

I had her as an agent, and she went out of her way to help me on two claims. One when Jeremy wrecked Haley's car, and the other was a busted water line that flooded part of my house. She handled it all for me, and I never had to do anything. For that, I am grateful.

As for the rate stuff, I don't know why she is taking any heat. She doesn't control the rates. A computer program does, based on risk. And rates fluctuate, daily. That's why you should shop your current rates every single time you are up for renewal. You're pissing money away if you don't. Blows my mind how many adults don't understand how this works.

Throw in a few bad decisions, and she ended up pissing everyone off. Shit was talked, it got back to her (and I think the messenger(s) likely fanned the flames), and she lashed out with vengeance. The group lashed out back at her tenfold, and the fued was well underway. From there, lots of dirty laundry, personal attacks, and more terrible decisions were piled up to the point that she eventually left, but is still a popular punchline around here. Both sides said hateful shit, but a lot of what she said in her rage made her look worse. I still feel sorry for her, but she made the right choice by leaving.

If I remember correctly shortly before the Vegas trip she was begging for Christmas presents for her kids and claiming she was broke. Priorities...
