Well, a friend got a DWI last Friday.....

First offense with a lawyer she will more than likely get 18 months probation, no more jail time, she will have to pay a drivers license surcharge for 3 years of $1040 per year and get a sr22 insurance policy. With a .18 and a wreck, she will more than likely have a mandatory breathalyzer installed in her car while on probation.

this... Although I think they may have dropped the surcharge program.. 30-60 days of labor detail depending, at least for Tarrant... Burleson is Johnson though i thought not sure what they do.

They won't drop the surcharge, if you blow . 015 or more you have to pay 1,000 a year for 3 years.

Yup if I remember hearing right. Heck if the officer really wants to be a jerk then they can give you one without you being at .08. If they feel like your driving is being impaired by alcohol then they can give you one. Also I've heard that they are thinking about moving the limit from .08 to .05
