I don't feel that it's caving in, some slurs are commonplace and not really "racist", I feel they are racist when they spew hate. I actually tried clarifying this in the mod forum years ago, I just want to make it official, nothing is really changing except a mod shouldn't ban for the harmless use of a word.

I think caving to a bunch of racist, illiterate, dumbasses is the wrong thing to do. Just because it's popular among those without a brain, doesn't mean it's right.

What about using the naynay word in a quote?

If it's not spewing hate, I don't think it's an issue under the new "rule"

I noticed I wasn't getting as many posts per page. I thought I had gotten another screwed up IE update.

Couple of changes
Posts per page:I just changed the default to 20, you can go to User CP, Edit options, and change "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" to whatever you want up to 40. Right after the vB install I set the default to 50 which was a mistake from a server load standpoint. Setting the default to 20 will speed up the time to load pages, and if you like 40, you can still use that, it will also reduce the server load so I am going to change the search time.

Search time delay:Changed back to 15 sec, should result in a overall drop in load on the server with the posts per page change.

Racial Slurs:I am going to change the official "rule" on this, I have seen alot of people using racial slurs in a light hearted context which I really don't mind. If you use them in a overly hateful manner it's up to the mod's discretion to issue a ban. Just use common sense here please.

OK:You a crazy ass nigga
Not OK:I hope all you niggers burn
