Seriously thinking it is time to sell my truck.
2003 s-10 ~175k miles 80% of which have been highway. Mobil 1 synthetic every and wix filters change since I got it at 42k miles. New front brakes (pads, rotors, bearings). Head was replaced 2 years ago thanks to some bad information, it turned out to be a bad injector. New fuel pump and sending unit last spring. New shocks front and rear (fronts need installed). I get 25mpg when I drive all highway 22 mixed. Dual electric fans and drop in k&n air filter
Issues:
Needs A/C compressor (~$350 for compressor and charge)
There is an oil leak
SES light (lean bank 1) more than likely O2 sensor which I have
What is a realistic number to expect? I am thinking about writing $3750 on the back window and seeing what happens.
I am driving 45 min both ways to work. Looking to either find a fuel saver or buy my girlfriends g35 (roughly the same mpg) for something nicer to get around in and easier on my back. Not looking for a bunch of people to rip this apart. I am looking for some honest input from some of the guys who are in the buying/selling of the industry and can give some quality input.
I work around and live in a high hispanic area and they love these little trucks....
