The plastic cover is still there, but no fuel filter, its a permanent one now. But the GT500 still has one.

I know right. I know for a fact that 25k-30k is all the inline filters can take before they are clogged to the point of losing HP that you can feel. I don't know how they are keeping them clean, unless when the fuel pump kicks off, it reverses for a second or two to blow out the built-in fuel filter?
