I listed a few earlier in this thread. Definitely go with reputable places. It also helps to know what the going price is. I'd suggest downloading the Kitco app. It's updated live, not that 20 minute delay BS. Just don't waste your day staring at it. You'll give yourself gray hair. LOLOriginally posted by matts5.0 View PostAwesome that's basically how im looking at it, it's just money I'd blow on shit I don't need or really want anyways, might as well invest it.
I bought a few bars and coins and a couple rounds the other day. I kinda want to buy one of those bundles of 90% change, are those good or bad? I haven't really seen much else besides coins and bars in gold on the sites. Any places to look locally that isn't trying to rip people off? It will give me something to do on days off.
And refer to Cooter's picture above.

Junk silver, or older 90% coinage is just fine as well, but what you have to consider is who you're taking it to when you want to sell. Some people give crappier return rates than buy rates. For example, a site might sell you the 90% for just a bit over spot, but buys back at a lot under spot. I try to keep a bit of everything (junk silver, generic rounds and government minted bullion). I also browse several sites when I get ready to pull the buy or sell trigger.Originally posted by matts5.0 View Post

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

That would be nice, but I'll have to see it to believe it. I'm still not going to break the bank open at any price until it does something to make me believe that we've arrived. I will, however, nickel and dime my way down like today.Originally posted by cyclonescott View PostMy guess is somewhere around $9.75 an ounce.
