There is always some percentage of a company's work force that goes out and smokes / bullshits for 20 minutes of every hour. It is fucking annoying as hell to work with them too.

I've done some of my best brainstorming with work folks over cigarettes. Sometimes getting away from the desk/office/phones...etc helps a lot.
I don't smoke really anymore, but I personally don't complain about those who do or stop non-smokers from taking a non-smoker break.
As long as your shit is done on time and correctly, I don't care if you're smoking 4 hours a day.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

The only smokers I work with actually work 10-14 hours a day, so I don't mind them going out for a smoke every couple hours.
The real issue here is that companies are paying higher and higher healthcare costs as a result of smoking related diseases/conditions. That's it.

just something else for people to bitch about. if it's not smoking, it's vaping. if it's not vaping, it's people running stop signs. it's ALWAYS something. i agree with Jason, smokers shouldn't get more breaks then non smokers. thanks to vaping, i may have kicked smoking. i have tried cold turkey in the past with no luck. i may have puffed for all of 5 minutes yesterday and haven't touched it at all so far today.
everyone just needs to get a hobby and quit looking for shit to cry about.

I get it, but right now it's the easy target. It's another one of those things that is not the damned government's business. Trust me, we're paying more for the medical sector to make more profit than for smokers killing themselves over the long term. That's why a lot of companies that are not directly health care related, are making health care groups. BIG and EASY money.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
