After having it many times and trying every thing there is the only thing that works for me.
I get in the shower in the morning and get the water as hot as I can stand and then a little hotter. Borderline scalding. Run the affected area under the water for 2-3 minutes. It tricks the nerves and you will not itch for the rest of the day. I was desperate for relief and found the idea on some hiking site. It works so well.

I use a hair dryer instead of stratching or hot water.

Doesn't break the skin and lets things heal, but still gives the relief of scratching.

If you can get a steriod shot it will help.

Guess technically it would be eye lids and everywhere surrounding.. sucked. Looked like this just not as swollen, plus the one eyes was crusty and swollen shut.

Fuck this. Im gunna hit up the doc today when they open. Now my throat is starting to hurt... the rash on my neck is huge and causing it to swell. I can actually feel my juggular jiggle when I shake my head... thst is a shitty feeling. Feel like a fat ass from the neck up!

p.s. I have heen using calamine (clear I might add) lotion and cortizone. I also had a bunch of benedryl yesterday. Basically slept all day.

I tried to tough it out, and let it go away on its own. It never did and I couldn't take it anymore. finally broke down and went to the doc. It after a shot it was gone in like 6 hours. I kicked myself for suffering as long as I did.
No OTC shit worked to heal in my opinion. Just helped with the itching temporarily.

Well the doc didn't think the shot was best. So she put me on a steroid pill pack with some sort of topical. Well see...
