    To be honest I couldn't name a single one of the Merry Pranksters other than Ken Kesey from memory now, although it was the late 70's or early 80's when I read the book. For some odd reason I do remember however that Owlsley was their chemist and their bus was named Further or Furthur.

    Interesting coincidence about Acid Test and Cuckoo's Nest is the former is about Ken Kesey (among others) and the latter was authored by Ken Kesey.

    One of my favorites from much more recent times is Lone Survivor.
