I don't believe the person who shot (and killed) someone who was drinking and on Chantix, was ever charged with a crime. Similar scenario. Drunk/Chantix guy thought he was at his own house. Home owner shot him through the door.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I think he was reffering to the incident with man sitting on the stairs with a water nozzle. Neighbor called 911 thinking it was a gun, police opened fire killing man.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostWho said the kid coming in the window had a water nozzle?

I think what frost is trying to say here is that you are expecting a home owner to risk getting killed to find out if the intruder is a threat, but the police can/do use lethal force because they don't want to risk their own lives.

I get that the police have training and all that, but still. If a drunk person enters a house at night and gets killed by a home owner that shot first, I don't feel the least bit sorry for the drunk. Don't get so fucking drunk that you can't find your own house and you wont get shot. If a police officer enters a house while pursing a suspect, he should damned well identify himself as police.

I agree, if they enter a residence be it a house or yard they should identify who they are. There was a case here a few years back where a local cop chased a suspect into a back yard and got shot by the homeowner while he was trying to handcuff the suspect. He was no billed since he asked multiple times who the people were in his yard and got no response. I feel he should have gotten reprimanded for the fact he just shot at shadows and wasn't aware of his target but he didn't.Originally posted by JC316 View PostI get that the police have training and all that, but still. Right, which is why you keep coming up with reasons a homeowner shouldn't shoot someone entering their home but cops can kill someone on their own property watering their lawnOriginally posted by 03trubluGT View PostWho said the kid coming in the window had a water nozzle?

I know it is semantics, but the guy who was holding the water hose, was not on his own property. He was waiting on the steps at a friend's house.Originally posted by Forever_frost View PostRight, which is why you keep coming up with reasons a homeowner shouldn't shoot someone entering their home but cops can kill someone on their own property watering their lawnOriginally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.
