uhh, yes... one of the better staple American "craft" beers IMOOriginally posted by Cobraman View PostPicked up some sierra Nevada pale ale yesterday. Anybody drink it? My first step out of the big name brews.
I don't drink it very often anymore, but that's not because it isn't a killer brew.
It's an absolutely perfect breakfast beer if you're dealing with a moderate hangover

Rahr's Bucking Bock hit the market last week but I think they are only going to do bombers and kegs. If you like a high ABV beer that goes down easy it fits the bill. It's noticeably drier this year, meaning the yeast worked a little harder. No official word but it was about 9% last year, it wouldn't surprise me if it's more like 10%.
It's their Spring seasonal and is a Maibock style, if you like Rogue's Dead Guy this is a very similar beer but with more alcohol and it's probably cheaper.
So this isn't considered spamming I had a Lone Star last night just to refresh my memory of what bad beer tastes like. Yep, not good. I'd rather drink water.

Hah my thoughts exactly. Perhaps it's the gay sunshine as thier label or the fact every one I've seen is some sort of fruit beer. I really dont know, I just assume it'll be shit.Originally posted by Tyrone Biggums View PostSomething in my brain will not allow me to buy anything shock top. Probably, I picked up a growler at Central Market yesterday. The good news is that there is a lot more Iron Thistle coming.Originally posted by cool cat View PostIs Bucking Bock available in all the usual places where I usually get my Rahr seasonals?
Shock Top isn't a craft beer, it's an AB product and they are whoring it out everywhere. Kegs are under $60 now wholesale.
